Blood Analysis in Our Lab

Our clinic can perform in-house blood count tests to monitor pets with fevers, vomiting, diarrhoea, weakness, pale gums, or a loss of appetite. We also perform in-house tests for critical care patients, kidney profile, thyroid function, full biochemistry, haematology, blood glucose, cortisol levels and FIV/FelV.

Titre Testing

We perform in-house Titre testing for canines and felines to check the level of antibodies present in your pet's blood from their previous vaccination. This helps identify animal's who would benefit from revaccination.

We also recommend pre-anaesthetic blood tests before surgery for patients seven years and older to detect any bleeding disorders and check liver and kidney function or abnormalities that can delay the healing process or influence the surgical procedure.

Most blood tests take 20 minutes to run.

Any tests we cannot perform with our equipment are sent to external laboratories.
